NIH – Library Website

ZAI provides design and maintenance support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Library website, which includes a wide array of quick links, research tools, and training. One touch access is provided to the Library’s online catalog, website, subject search form, PubMed, Library activities posts, Twitter announcements, and even customer support. ZAI writes, edits, and proofreads new and existing web content to ensure it meets established content standards, including Section 508 compliance. ZAI’s work includes design and maintenance of the NIH Library’s website and the development and maintenance of Drupal-based web spaces that serve as virtual research environments to support researchers around the world. We developed two specialty websites and their underlying databases and digital archives: The Alzheimer’s Disease Preclinical Efficacy Database (AlzPED) and the Pandemic Influenza Digital Archives (PIDA). In addition to development and maintenance for the AlzPED site, ZAI serves as the site curator to validate data sources, develop/maintain the site’s taxonomical structure and metadata database, and integrate and publish site content.
