DHS – NFA

ZAI supports the National Fire Academy (NFA), an organizational unit of the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), which is part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). NFA works to enhance the ability of fire and emergency services and allied professionals to deal more effectively with fire and related emergencies. Each year, ZAI provides support to approximately 9,000 students participating in courses on-campus in Emmitsburg, MD. ZAI’s staff provide administrative and clerical support; programmatic and editorial services; and course development, materials production, and logistical support to NFA.
