Mr. Cook has more than 25 years of U.S. Navy contracting experience and 24 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer, including command, new construction, overhaul, operations, and test and evaluation. Since retiring from the Navy, Mr. Cook has provided technical and program management support to the submarine program offices of the Naval Sea Systems Command under multiple contracts. Joining ZAI in 2002, he has continued to provide support to the Submarine Programs Offices at NAVSEA, including the UK TRIDENT Program, while becoming more involved with the management growth of the ZAI’s Engineering and Analysis Group, culminating as its Division Director.
As Vice President of the Engineering and Analysis Group, Mr. Cook manages the personnel and their efforts in providing ZAI’s technical and program management support of the Department of the Navy’s far-ranging contracts. The division’s personnel provide support at NAVSEA headquarters, most submarine home ports, major repair facilities, and submarine planning shipyards, as well as onboard ships at various ports at home and abroad.
Mr. Cook holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program, and has served in engineering and command positions on nuclear powered submarines. He an active member of the Navy League of the United States, a Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and a member of the International Test and Evaluation Association.
